River Place West is located in Arlington, Virginia one and a half blocks away from the Rosslyn Metro station. While our mailing address is located on Arlington Blvd, the River Place main entrance/gatehouse is located at 1615 N. Lynn Street, Arlington, VA  22209

Walking from Rosslyn Metro

Five minute walk. Upon exiting the metro and facing the street, turn right heading South on Moore St.. Turn Left downhill on Wilson Blvd. and right on Lynn St past the large Channel 8 News video display. You will find River Place on the left after passing the entrance to the Freedom Park. River Place West is the right most Building when arriving from the pedestrian gate.

Parking Information

There is no guest parking available at River Place. Parking spaces are individually owned by shareholders. Please check our advertisement section for parking availability. Please be aware that parking facilities are patrolled regularly. Automobiles that are parked on the premises without proper identification (and those parked illegally) will be booted or towed.  Please avoid this situation by making sure that if you are driving to RPW, you have a designated space for your arrival.

Loading Dock Passes - 30 minute loading dock passes are available from the gate house for loading and unloading.  If you have a delivery or a move in/move-out, please coordinate with the Management Office.

Parking Management - The RP Owner's Association and Parking Office handles parking registration for owner's/residents with assigned spaces. Please contact this office for more parking registration information at (703) 276-9810.

Local Transportation

Rosslyn is served by 2 Metro rail lines and 14 metro bus lines. Local shuttles provide access to Georgetown and Georgetown University.

  • B11 (PDF) - Bethesda Reverse Commute Route. Leaves every 20 mins between 6:02 and 9:02 AM for the Medical Center Metro Station. Returns every 20 mins between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. Travel time - approx. 45 mins.
  • FX404 (PDF) - GMU Line down GW Parkway through Langley, McLean, Tysons, Vienna, and Oakton to George Mason University's main campus in Fairfax.

Biking

Bike Washington - River Place is a few blocks from the Key Bridge where two trails meet. The Mount Vernon Trail runs south along the Potomac River by National Airport and through Old Town Alexandria to George Washington's estate. The Custis Trail runs north to connect with the W&OD Trail, a former railroad that runs out to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Across the pedestrian friendly Key Bridge, running north along the Potomac River, lie both the wooded C&O Towpath and the Capital Crescent Trail.

Rosslyn Bicycle Commuting - Getting over bridges during rush hour is faster on bike. This site contains distance and approximate bike commute times to nearby neighborhoods.

Washington Area Bicyclist Association - Information on places to ride, people to ride with, commuting tips, tours, and safety. Car Sharing

Car sharing services offer access to cars without the expense of ownership. Members pay for usage only - no insurance, parking, or gas payments. Members reserve the vehicles over the internet or telephone, and unlock the cars which are parked in designated places throughout the city with a personal smartcard. Cars can be rented in half hour increments, and can be cheap as $8 per hour. There are two car sharing services in the area.

Zipcar - Zipcar offers two cars in Rosslyn, a Volkswagen Beetle and a Tacoma Pickup. Both are located near the McDonald's on Lynn Street. Other Zipcar locations include Georgetown and Courthouse.

Flexcar - Flexcar has a four door sedan located at the Safeway on Wilson. Flexcar also offers Georgetown and Courthouse locations.
