River Place West is a cooperative residential building
located in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. One of four independent
cooperatives comprising the River Place Community, our ten-story building
consists of 413 homes, from studios to two bedroom penthouses. <visit

Station in Arlington, Virginia within view of the Iwo Jima Marine
Corp Memorial across route 50. The River Place Community shared amenities
include a gym, swimming pool, 24 hour patrol, and retail outlets including
a convenience store, hair salon, and professional cleaners.
The River Place Buildings were originally built in
the mid-fifties as a four building apartment and office complex called
Arlington Towers. The buildings were converted into four independent
housing cooperatives in the early eighties known as they are today
as River Place. While each building pays dues to the River Place Owner's
Association, which maintains and manages common grounds including
the parking, pool, and patrol officers, the four buildings have separate
boards of directors, elected by the shareholders (owners), which operate
and manage the finances of each building independently.
